Marketing I: Speaker Biographies

It gives the TYE leaders great pleasure to announce this week's speaker and teacher. Both are highly recommended individuals because they have incredible stories to tell and are dedicated to paving the path in their respective industries. Furthermore, we would like to make the brief disclaimer that they are close friends of ours and have given us inspiration as well.

Dr. Radha Jalan, CEO, ElectroChem

ElectroChem is a pioneering company; bringing predictable high quality fuel cell research to the marketplace as a comprehensive product line. Brad Coffey, HubSpot, Business Operations

Brad Coffey is currently a student at MIT Sloan's Graduate School of Business. He also works for one of this year's hottest venture-backed startups, HubSpot. HubSpot is an inbound marketing system that helps small and medium sized businesses get found by more prospects online using search engines, the blogosphere, and social media. The companies software helps its customers gain more traffic and convert more prospects into leads using clever intelligence and marketing analytics. Because Brad is well versed in social media and its importance in today's new world of marketing, he is going to teach us how to market our companies using Internet tools that we are all very familiar with (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.). Brad is a graduate of Amherst College, where he studied computer science and played on the soccer team. In addition, he serves as a member of the NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee(SAAC). Note: It is critical that all students attend and understand this session.
